What is the maximum file size?
The maximum file size is 100 MB per file. This limit covers the vast majority of professional documents (PDF, JPG, PNG).
What happens when all documents are received?
Once your client has submitted all requested documents, the collect request automatically switches to "Completed" status. You can download the files from their file in your professional space.
How long are files kept?
Files are kept according to the retention period chosen by the professional when creating the collect request. This period cannot exceed the maximum configured by the organization in Settings > Documents (between 30 and 365 days). Files are automatically deleted at expiration — remember to download them beforehand.
Why are files automatically deleted?
Filvacy is designed for document collection, not long-term storage. Data minimization is a core principle of our architecture: retaining sensitive documents beyond their usefulness is not in your clients' best interest. Automatic deletion is not a precaution — it is a commitment to privacy by default. Once you've processed the documents, download them into your own document management system.
What file formats are accepted?
Filvacy accepts all common formats: PDF, images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP), Office documents (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX), and many others. The maximum file size is 100 MB per file.
Can a client upload multiple files for the same document?
Yes. Your client can upload multiple files to fulfill a single document request — useful for example for a multi-page bank statement or a file split into several parts.
What happens if a client uploads the wrong file?
The client can delete the uploaded file and upload a new one from their client space, as long as the request is still active.
